Below
are a few general guidelines to keep in mind when using pure, undiluted
Essential Oils.
Essential
Oils are extremely potent and volatile oils that can be very harmful.
When used with care & respect essential oils are some of Mother
Nature’s most wonderful gifts. Getting started is easy, don’t
be afraid to create your own special blends.
1. Read &
follow all label cautions and warnings
2. For External Use Only.
Do not take internally in any way.
3. Do NOT apply to skin undiluted.
For application to the skin, dilute in a pure vegetable
carrier oil, (jojoba, sweet almond oil, sunflower oil or grape seed
are good choices), unscented lotion, shower gel or massage oil.
General guideline is 1 to 3 drops of essential oil to 1
ounce of carrier oil or lotion.
4.
Always conduct a patch test of diluted essential oil on the inner
arm before using; do not use if redness or irritation occurs.
5.
Keep away from eyes & mucous membranes.
6. Keep out of reach of children and
pets. Cap should be secured properly & the bottle
stored in an upright position.
7. Essential Oils are flammable.
Do not put in a direct flame.
8.
Use with extreme caution or do not use at all if Pregnant or Nursing.
